• Audio recordings you create within the App
• Transcripts generated from your recordings

• To provide AI-powered analysis and coaching
• To improve the quality of our services
• To manage your account and subscription
• To communicate important updates about the App

3. Data Storage & Security

All data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure with row-level security. Audio files are encrypted at rest. Your recordings and transcripts are private and accessible only to your account.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following services to provide our features:

• OpenAI — for AI conversation analysis and coaching
• Hume AI — for emotional prosody analysis
• AssemblyAI — for speech transcription and speaker diarization
• Supabase — for authentication and data storage
• Apple — for in-app purchase and subscription management

These services process data according to their own privacy policies.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen within the App.

Upon deletion: all personal identifiers and audio recordings are permanently removed from our servers. Anonymized, de-identified analytical data — including transcripts with generic speaker labels, conversation scores, and analysis metrics — may be retained for service improvement and research purposes. This data is irreversibly stripped of all personal identifiers and cannot be linked back to you.

6. AI & Biometric Data

Frame uses artificial intelligence to analyze audio recordings for personal communication improvement:

• Emotion Analysis: Vocal prosody (tone, pitch, rhythm) is analyzed to detect emotional patterns in speech.
• Speech Transcription: Recordings are transcribed and diarized (speakers identified).
• Coaching: AI generates personalized coaching insights based on your conversation patterns.

Vocal emotion analysis may be classified as biometric data under certain laws (including Illinois BIPA, Texas, and Washington biometric privacy laws). By using Frame, you provide informed consent for the collection and processing of vocal emotion data. This data is not sold to third parties, not used for identification purposes, accessible only to your account, and deletable upon request.

7. Your Rights (CCPA / GDPR)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right to Know: You can request details about what personal data we collect and how it is used.
• Right to Delete: You can delete your account and all associated personal data at any time via Settings > Delete Account & Data.
• Right to Opt-Out of Sale: Frame does not sell your personal data to third parties.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: You will not receive different service quality for exercising your privacy rights.
• Right to Data Portability (EU): You may request a copy of your data in a portable format.
• Right to Object (EU): You may object to certain processing of your personal data.
• Right to Rectification: You can request correction of inaccurate personal data.

8. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed by third-party services (OpenAI, Hume AI, AssemblyAI) located in the United States. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

9. Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users in accordance with applicable law.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App.
